BMA

BMA connectors, also known as Blind-Mate Connectors, are slide-on/push-on RF connectors that operate up to 22 GHz. These connectors are designed for interconnecting microwave modules using direct mount or floating rear mount. The floating variation of the female connector provides tolerance against misalignment during mating, making the series popular in high vibration applications. BMA connectors are available as a jack or plug (female or male) straight, right angle, bulkhead. They are known for their blind-mate design and hot-mateable capabilities.

Main Features:

  • Blind-Mating Capability: Designed to connect with minimal visual guidance, ensuring seamless operation in situations with limited space or visibility.
  • High Performance: Offering excellent electrical performance with low insertion loss and high return loss, maintaining signal integrity even at high frequencies.
  • Durability: Built with robust designs and high-quality materials, these connectors withstand harsh environments and resist wear and tear for reliable long-term performance.
  • Vibration Resistant: Featuring secure locking mechanisms, blind-mate connectors remain stable and prevent accidental disconnections even under vibration and shock.
  • Variety of Configurations: Available in various configurations, including straight, right-angle, bulkhead, and panel mount, adaptable to diverse application requirements and installation situations.

Applications for BMA Connectors:

  • Aerospace and Defense: Connecting critical systems within aircraft, satellites, and other aerospace and defense platforms where space is limited and visual access is difficult.
  • Medical Imaging: Used in medical imaging equipment like MRI machines and X-ray systems, where maintaining sterility and ensuring patient safety is paramount.
  • Robotics and Automation: Employed in robotic arms and automated systems operating in confined spaces or requiring frequent connection and disconnection.
  • Underwater Applications: Connecting underwater sensors, cameras, and other equipment in challenging marine environments.
  • Test and Measurement: Used in test and measurement equipment operating in high-vibration environments, requiring reliable data transmission.
